On 29-30 March Portugal and the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities discussed how Portugal has been implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. During this meeting, during the 15th Session of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (29 March- 21 April 2016), the UN Committee (composed of 18 independent experts from different parts of the world) and the Portuguese delegation led by Ana Sofia Antunes, Secretary of State of Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities engaged in a question and answer session.
It was the first time, since Portugal ratified the CRPD in 2009 that the UN Committee reviewed how Portugal has been implementing its obligations concerning the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
