The report "COVID-19 and people with disabilities: Accessing the impact of the crisis and informing disability-inclusive next steps", promoted by the European Commission, brings together an analysis on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in areas such as access to health; income and access to food and essential items; access to transportation and the public spaces; involuntary detention or treatment; violence, exploitation or abuse; independent living; access to habilitation and rehabilitation; access to justice; access to education; working and employment. In this report, which was prepared by researchers from the Observatory Paula Campos Pinto and María Acosta Jiménez, we see the impacts of the pandemic crisis in all these areas being explored, as well as examples of good practices and recommendations.
This report was prepared within the scope of the EDE - European Disability Expertise project, promoted by the European Commission, which aims to establish a link between academics in the field of disability at European level to support the development of European policies, in collaboration with the European Commission.
