Online Open Consultation - Access to the Internet for Persons with Disabilities

Following the instructions of Council Resolution 1344 (Rev. Council 2015), the ITU Council Working Group in International Internet related Public Policy Issues (CWG-Internet) decided on 2 October 2015 to hold an open consultation (online and physical) on the following topic: Access to the Internet for Persons with Disabilities and specific needs.

  •  What are the different challenges facing persons with disabilities and specific needs (e.g. lack of ICT skill sets etc.) in accessing and using the Internet?               
  • What possible approaches and examples of good practices are available to address these challenges?                        
  • What are the gaps in addressing these challenges and how can these gaps be filled?                        
  • What is the role of governments in addressing these challenges and gaps?                

Accordingly, all stakeholders are invited to provide their answers through the link provided further below.

The deadline for submissions is 15 January 2016.
