“The respect for human rights’ laws and rules did not yield very good results over the past few years. Exclusion, poverty and discrimination have risen in the European community” acknowledged Yannis Vardakastanis, President of the European Disability Forum this Tuesday, in the 1st Symposium of the Disability and Human Rights Observatory, in the Higher Institute for Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP), in Lisbon. This meeting celebrates the 10th birthday of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
