Are now open the applications for the postgraduate course "Disability, Citizenship and Social Inclusion", promoted by the Postgraduate Studies Institute (IEPG) at ISCSP-ULisboa.
For the fifth time, the EDF has launched a scholarship in collaboration with Oracle, for European students with disabilities in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, User Experience or similar fields, enrolled at an EU university for the academic year 2020-2021. An award of €6,500 will be given to the most innovative project regarding the needs of persons with disabilities on accessing information and communication technologies (e-Accessibility). The deadline for applications is 31 March.
On March 3, the European Commission presented a new European Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030. This Strategy aims to guide the State Parties and the EU institutions on promoting democracy and the human rights of people with disabilities in Europe.
With the objective of drafting a General Comment on the right of persons with disabilities to work and employment, the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) invites all State Parties to the CRPD Convention, United Nations entities, specialized agencies, United Nations human rights mechanisms, non-governmental organizations, organizations of persons with disabilities, and other interested parties to submit their written or oral contributions by March 15, 2021, at the latest.
Under the scope of the public consultation process of the National Strategy for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (ENIPD 2020-2025), which ended on December 24, 2020, the Disability and Human Observatory (ODDH) and the National Mechanism for Monitoring the Implementation of the CDPD (Me-CDPD) presented observations and contributions to the revision of the National Strategy for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (ENIPD 2021-2025).
