The book "Belonging & Participating to Learn" published by the team of the Resource Center for Inclusion (CRI) of the Association of Social Solidarity of Lafões (ASSOL), and publicly presented on December 13, 2017, at the II Meeting of ODDH , resulted from a reflection on the practices of the CRI and the work that these teams have been developing, together with the schools, to promote the social inclusion of children and young people with disabilities.
The Assembly of the Republic and the National Mechanism for Monitoring the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Me-CRPD) in Portugal will organize the conference "Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities: the answers from Portugal". The event will take place at the António de Almeida Santos Auditorium (Assembly of the Republic) at 10:00 a.m.
The Disability and Human Rights Observatory (Observatório da Deficiência e Direitos Humanos – ODDH) holds its II Meeting on december 13, 2017, at the Institute of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lisbon (ISCSP-ULisboa).
During its 17th session (20 March- 12 April 2017) the Committee decided to start the drafting process of its General Comment No. 6 on the right of persons with disabilities to equality and non-discrimination.
As part of the public discussion process on the the draft amendment of inclusive education law (Decree-law 3/2008), the Observatory on Disability and Human Rights (ODDH) and their Advisory Board developed a document with contributions / suggestions that was submitted to the Education Ministry (available below in Portuguese).
