Within the framework of the new United Nations Agenda for 2030, which includes 17 Sustainable Development Objectives (ODS), Portugal presented, on July 18 at the United Nations Headquarters, the "National Report on the implementation of Agenda 2030 for the sustainable development". In this first report from Portugal, disability is mentioned only in ODS 1, related to the eradication of poverty.
It is currently under way - until September 30 - the public consultation on the the proposal to amend Decree-Law 3/2008, which defines "the specialized support to be provided in pre-school education and primary and secondary education in the public, private and cooperative sectors".
On May 10, the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Germany, Gabriele Lösekrug-Möller, visited the Observatory on Disability and Human Rights (ODDH) at the Institute of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP).
The Observatory on Disability and Human Rights (ODDH) is requesting the collaboration of teachers with disabilities and the school board to participate on the study "Teachers with Disabilities in Portugal: Profile, Representations and Practices", promoted by ODDH.
The National Initiative for Digital Skills e.2030 – Portugal INCoDe.2030 – presented on April 3, in Lisbon, aims to reinforce the digital skills of all Portuguese citizens, including persons with disabilities.
