The Observatory on Disability and Human Rights (ODDH) participated in a multi-stakeholder seminar on the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Portugal, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on March 29, in Lisbon.
The Observatory on Disability and Human Rights (ODDH) takes part in the Workgroup for Social Needs in Science, Technology and Higher Education (GT-NECTES), created in December 2016, by the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education, in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Higher Education and the Foundation for Science and Technology.
As part of the public discussion process on the "Social Benefit for Inclusion", which ended on March 24, 2017, the Observatory on Disability and Human Rights (ODDH) developed a document with contributions / suggestions that was submitted to the National Institute for Rehabilitation (available below in Portuguese).
As part of the study Teachers with Disabilities in Portugal: Characterization, Representations and Practices", supported by the Ministry of Education, the ODDH / ISCSP is requesting the collaboration of the teachers with disabilities to complete an online questionnaire.
The new Council of Europe Strategy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2017 – 2023 was drafted over the past year by Council of Europe member States in co-operation with civil society and other stakeholders.The Strategy was adopted by the Committee of Ministers in December 2016 and will be launched during a conference in Nicosia, Cyprus on 27-28 March 2017.
