The European Commission today proposed a European Accessibility Act, which will set common accessibility requirements for certain key products and services that will help people with disabilities at EU level to participate fully in society.
Following the instructions of Council Resolution 1344 (Rev. Council 2015), the ITU Council Working Group in International Internet related Public Policy Issues (CWG-Internet) decided on 2 October 2015 to hold an open consultation (online and physical) on the following topic: Access to the Internet for Persons with Disabilities and specific needs.
It will take place on November 11 - between 16h30 and 18h30 - a Research Seminar about Disability Studies promoted by ODDH.
The United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities has already published the ‘List of Issues’ which the Portuguese State has to answer in writing after the presentation of the Portuguese report - related with the monitoring process of the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities - which was held on August 17 in Geneva.
On October 16 will take place a session about “Autism – Inclusion – Work" at the União De Associações Do Comércio E Serviços (Rua Castilho 14, 1269-076 Lisbon). The event is being organized by the Portuguese Federation of Autism.
